Whether you, like myself, grew up with whispers of the Elder Gods. Of C’thulhu dreaming eternally as he waits to rise again. Or you grew up blissfully unaware of one of the greatest horror writers in the last few centuries, HP Lovecraft is celebrated far and wide for his unique approach to the genre and the mythos he created…. Or discovered and logged as fiction to better soften the blow to mankind.

It will be 126 years since he was born in 1890 on August 20th, and LoveFest has begun as of August 13th, to commemorate not only his birth but to remember the Man, the Mad Genius, and the work that lives on to supply new generations with the horror that only shifting shadows and bewildering sounds can properly encourage. So, in the next few weeks, if you come across a strange old tome filled with indecipherable writing, or a person who isn’t… quite what they should be to the discerning eye, or even a series of eerie yet beautiful musical notes that seem birthed from nowhere yet lead somewhere. Remember Lovecraft and the lessons he has taught us. For they live on. Always.
